Hi everybody! I've just seen the november issue of "MACUSER" and was really amazed when I read about Micro Design's "Keeper". From the article on hard disks and the add it sounded just terrific. But as you all know one thing is theory but another is practice. If the "Keeper" is as described it must be THE fileserver for Mac. So therefore, has anybody tried "Keeper" , just one, 2 or more on the same AppleTalk net. As a printer-spooler? How is performance etc..? Hope you read this and don't mind to mail me a short summary of your opinions. Thanks in advance J|rgen N|rgaard e-mail: ....{seismo!}mcvax!diku!daimi!jnp

We have a Keeper(tm) here at NYU. Its basically a nice file server, but it does have its quirks with regard to file sharing, and multiple desktop files. Also, it is possible to get blown away by some copyprotected programs that aren't well behaved. Not bad for a first shot though. After we have some more experience with it, I'll try and post a more complete review. David Spector NYU/acf Systems group
