Does anyone have up-to-date information on how American Macs are fairing overseas? In particular, I am concerned about the following: 1. The effect on large memories (>512K) of static build-ups on flights. 2. Support for American machines by overseas dealers (compatibility, warrantees, etc). 3. Voltage differences (will a simple step-down transformer be adequate?). 4. Cycle differences (will a more elaborate transformer need to be used?). 5. Modem protocols. In particular, are data communications stand- i.e., could an American modem (say, following the Bell 212A standard) be used to link up with a English modem? Thanks in advance for any help. ..Ron Morgan *** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***
