A year or two ago I remember someone suggesting the following trick. The mac screen can be made 20% bigger just by twiddling a few mini-pots to get the screen to expand to fill the whole visible CRT. I heard the only reason the screen is its current size is to make the letters be actual size. That is a real stupid reason. Does anyone know how to do this? Has anyone done this? On the left side is a piece of cardboard with relatively clear markings, adjust the appropriate pot/coil to suit your preferences. 3. Replace cover. I have recently performed the adjustment on my Mac. I had my mac open to install a MonsterMac and the adjustment was way off after ComputerLand had replaced the power supply. I might note that in my case I wasn't able to actually get the entire screen filled and still have square pixels. From a clearer (it's now focused!) mac, -- David W. Once one knows the proper pots to adjust, Is there any easy way other than guesswork to make sure that the larger screen has an aspect ratio similar to the normal size screen? crshnider@watnot.UUCP

With the cover off and the mac plugged in and on (MacDraw or Paint booted), they drew a circle and then adjusted the pots so it looked like a circle. Pretty easy, huh? Good Luck!
