acm@ucla-cs.UUCP (02/18/86)

As part of Engineers' Week, the UCLA Student Chapters of the ACM and
the IEEE will be hosting the UCLA Microcomputer Faire 1986. To be held
in the John Wooden Center on Wednesday, April 16th, the Faire provides
both access to a large group of interested students, faculty, and staff,
as well as exposure to the future users and purchasers of microcomputer
systems and components. At the present time, the Microcomputer Faire
Organizing Committee is in the process of inviting companies that have
products in the following areas:

     1. Complete Systems:
           -Hardware and Software

If there are any companies doing business in these areas that you think
might benefit by attending the UCLA Microcomputer Faire and can show off
their products to the next generation of computer system purchasers, we
would appreciate it if you could send to us the name of the company,
a representative's name and phone number, and the product(s) that they
would like to demonstrate. (Such as the Macintosh and all the many
Macintosh-related products...) As well, we would be most grateful if you
could show this to friends or acquaintances that are involved with
microcomputers to ask for suggestions.

Thank you,

David Lee

p.s. In previous years, we have only invited companies that manufactured
general purpose systems and had audiences of 2000 in THREE hours.
This year, with the expansion of the Faire to accomodate more
companies, a registration fee of $100 will be charged to each
company in attendance and the Faire will be 5 hours in length.
Also, light breakfast, refreshments, a reception with deans and
professors, and possibly lunch will be available to the company
     representatives.
