I use the Macintosh to create scientific papers that are ultimately photographed for printing in journals. My problem is that I must create a lot of equations, sometimes on separate lines from the text and sometimes on the same lines. Presently I use the Symbol font in Macwrite (with the Laserwriter) which works but is intolerably time-consuming. Does anyone have a better approach, know of new software, have some tricks to share? I would be willing to purchase a complete word processing package, especially if it would enable me to create professional looking text. (I have tried MacEqn which creates equations easily but which currently does not have sufficient editing capabilities.) -- -- Kristin Quinlan, MIT (courtesy of Thinking Machines Corporation) -- ihnp4!think!jpm, jpm@think.com.arpa -- 617-253-7723
