MacPaint/Write are unbundled because MacWrite is viewed as the primary reason that there are no word processing programs available besides MS-Word and MacWrite. When you think about it, and count the # of spreadsheets, databases, accounting packages, etc., it is clear that *something* weird is going on. Guy Kawasaki @ Apple is supposed to be one of the prime movers in the unbundling. (I presume Paint was unbundled at the same time because it would look weird to only unbundle Write.) The Micro Outlet here at U. Wisconsin has continued to bundle Write and Paint with every machine, getting around many problems with responsibility for software piracy. -- Rick Keir -- MicroComputer Information Center, Rm 3130 MACC 1210 West Dayton St/U Wisconsin Madison/Mad WI 53706 {allegra, ihnp4, seismo}!uwvax!uwmacc!sumacc (OR) uwvax!uwmacc!rick
