Does anyone have a termcap entry for the Mac? ...{microsoft,sco,ctvax}!trsvax!ron

> > Does anyone have a termcap entry for the Mac? > > ...{microsoft,sco,ctvax}!trsvax!ron Here are the two Macintosh termcaps we have on our system. I use the MacTerminal version, and it seems the display scrolls faster than with a VT100 termcap. I have noticed a couple of quirks when using vi. The cursor positioning is not always perfect. Usually a ^L (to redraw screen) took care of it. I have not used the VersaTerm entry. # # Apple # Am|mac|macintosh|Apple Macintosh with MacTerminal:\ :AL=\E[%dL:al=\E[L:am:bl=^G:bs:cd=\E[J:ce=\E[K:cl=\E[H\E[J:\ :cm=\E[%i%d;%dH:co#80:cs=\E[%i%d;%dr:ct=\E[g:DC=\E[%dP:\ :dc=\E[P:DL=\E[%dM:dl=\E[M:do=\E[B:DO=\E[%dB:ei=:ho=\E[H:\ :IC=\E[%d@ :ic=\E[@ :im=:is=\E(B\E[2l\E[20l\E[?3l\E[?7h:\ :kb=^H:kd=\E[B:kh=\E[H:kl=\E[D:kn#4:kr=\E[C:ku=\E[A:\ :k1=\EOP:k2=\EOQ:k3=\EOR:k4=\EOS:LE=\E[%dD:le=\E[D:li#24:\ :ll=\E[24;1H:ms:nd=\E[C:nw=\EE:pt:rc=\E8:ri=\E[C:RI=\E[%dC:\ :sc=\E7:se=\E[m:sf=\ED:so=\E[1m:sr=\EM:st=\EH:ue=\E[m:\ :up=\E[A:UP=\E[%dA:us=\E[4m:xn:xo: # Macintosh/VersaTerm termcap with insert/delete character mac-am|versaterm:\ :cr=^M:do=^J:nl=^J:bl=^G:co#80:li#24:cl=50\E[;H\E[2J:\ :le=^H:bs:am:cm=5\E[%i%d;%dH:nd=2\E[C:up=2\E[A:\ :ce=3\E[K:cd=50\E[J:so=\E[7m:se=\E[m:us=\E[4m:ue=\E[m:\ :md=\E[1m:mr=\E[7m:mb=\E[5m:me=\E[m:is=\E[1;24r\E[24;1H:\ :rs=\E>\E[?3l\E[?4l\E[?5l\E[?7h\E[?8h:\ :ks=\E=\E[?1h:ke=\E>\E[?1l:\ :ku=\EOA:kd=\EOB:kr=\EOC:kl=\EOD:kb=^H:\ :ho=\E[H:k1=\EOP:k2=\EOQ:k3=\EOR:k4=\EOS:ta=^I:pt:sr=5\EM:vt#3:xn:\ :ic=7\E[1@:dc=7\E[1P:al=9\E[1L:dl=9\E[1M:\ :sc=\E7:rc=\E8:cs=\E[%i%d;%dr: # end mac-am Brad Tombaugh uucp: ...!cbosgd!osu-eddie!bgsuvax!tombaugh 316 E. [munch munch munch munch munch...] Does anyone have a working termcap for a mac running Red Ryder (7.0)? There was a promise to post one a while ago, but nothing ever appeared. Despite RR7's excellent imitation of a vt100, some things don't work quite right with a plain-vanilla vt100 termcap. >> Does anyone have a termcap entry for the Mac? > >Here are the two Macintosh termcaps we have on our system. . . >. . . I have not used the VersaTerm entry. I use the VersaTerm termcap exclusively, and it works perfectly. If your current one gives you problems like you say, try the VersaTerm one. But the, I PAID for my copy of VersaTerm! -Brian Diehm Tektronix, Inc. ( UDA - Usual Disclaimers Apply )
