I was truly thrilled to recieve a dozen or so mail items advising me that my
recent posting to net.general about a job posting wasbetter suited for
net.jobs or net.wanted. This is not news to me, but what people at many sites
realize is that some of us in the boondocks do not get all these lovely
newsgroups.
Even if I post to net.jobs, all that will happen is that my site, and perhaps
one or two others will see it. Not at all what I wanted. Since we are in
dire straits to get a person to fill this particular job, I figured net.general
was a reasonable place.
Now I can understand the complaints about jokes or rogue stuff showing up in
net.general. But really, for something as innocuous as this, what is the "n"
key for? Don't reply to me, please use /dev/null.
