Has anybody heard anything more about Apple suspending production of Mac
Pluses becuase of ROM Bugs? Can anybody even confirm the initial rumor?

At the Apple World Conference a fellow from Apple Tech support told
heads of user groups that there had been a shutdown and that the buggy
ROM's had been replaced. This would have happened over two months ago
at the latest. The ones currently being shipped are not flawless, but
patches are used in the software to hide this. I guess that is not an
unusual procedure to follow.

I've heard something about that the hole thing was a 2hourstop just because
there were a wrongloaded shipmounter or something like that.
But that's a appleinternal rumor. Maybe wrong, maybe not.
