I noticed today that my dealer's hard disk had a new version of
MacPascal. The release notes explain that it now provides:
Improved SANE support,
Procedure Parameters now work, including using them for
things like bottle neck procs.
A "shell" mechinism that allows you to create stand alone
applications that you may distribute freely.
A substantail increase in the upper bound on program sizes.
The dealer says I only need to wander in with my original disks.
Lastly they seem to have decided to life in a curious twilight zone
about copy protection... a special "backup" utility is provided...
maybe they decided to have no copy protection but they have all those
curious disks out there already?
I don't actually have my upgrade to this version yet, so all this
should be taken with a grain of salt. - ben hyde, cambridge.
