[net.micro.mac] Survey on Future Macintosh Architectures

rupp@tetra.UUCP (William L. Rupp) (03/21/86)

I find your questions and answers very interesting. Since I am not
a hardware expert, I will not attempt to answer your questions myself, but
I have a question of my own. You state "look what happened to the Apple ][
when CP/M came along". I was under the impression that CP/M antedated
the Apple ][. Perhaps you meant "look what happened to the Apple ][ when
the IBM PC came along". As a matter of fact, Apple is still selling more
Apple //'s (e's and c's) than Macs, if I am not mistaken. It is true that
the business market has been lost to IBM, but there still is an Apple ][
market, and software still being developed.

I am an Apple // and Mac user, so I can see both sides of the issue.
