Does anyone know if a Macintosh-based UNIX will ever become available? If so, is it possible to preserve the Macintosh interface AND have the UNIX environment available? -Bruce McKee Villanova University

Does anyone have any more information/dates on the MacWorkstation? Unix will probably be ported to the Mac eventually, but not for quite a while. The 'new Mac' will have a better chance of getting this, especially if it has a 68020. There will be a nice Unix/Mac interface protocol design in the MacWorkstation, so that portion of the work is practically done. -Chris
