*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR IMAGEWRITER *** I received several inquiries concerning my repair of the Apple Imagewriter printer. Since it looks like several people want help, and I'm not sure my mail gets to you folks, I will reiterate what my mail to them said. At the risk of being innundated with requests, the best way to describe the procedure is over the phone, in real time. So, to get my help, have your bad print head in hand, along with a fine pair of needlenose pliers, and a fairly small standard screwdriver, and a very small Phillips screwdriver (to fit the small screws on the outside of the print head). (I'm assuming everyone knows how to remove the print head. Remove the ribbon, and swing the two small chrome levers back. Smoothly pull the print head staight upwards) After all this, give me a call at 201-957-2616. I will lead you thru step-by-step. It's just too hard (I think) to describe the steps in language like '... then remove the little clear thingamagig by turning the round watchamacallit...' over the net. Much better in real time, with feedback from the help-ee. Takes about 10 minutes, and a steady hand. (Have a drink before you call ;-) ;-) ;-) -- Chip LeMar 201-957-2616 houxm!mtuxo!rll (I guess) (Cute quote goes here. I dont have one yet.)
