[net.micro.mac] HyperMac for sale

gross@watdcsu.UUCP (Evan Gross [Sys Des]) (04/01/86)

FOR SALE:
512K Macintosh with 128K ROMs
400K internal floppy (essentially a partially upgraded Mac)
10 Meg Hyperdrive with new Hyper ROMs making it an HFS machine

I am selling this machine because it is probably cheaper (depending
on the offers I get) to sell it and buy a new Mac Plus with hard disk
since there are no developer discounts on upgrades.

Anyone interested can make me an offer by sending me email here
or on Compuserve (76703,207) or calling me at:
Evan Gross, Batteries Included (416) 881-9941

I'm not quite sure what to ask to start with, but its only going to
be worth my while if I can get about $4500 Canadian (about $3300 U.S.)
for it sometime in the not-too distant future.

Good luck finding someone. 512k Macs new are about $1300 U.S.,
10 Meg Hyperdrives are about $1200, 128K ROM + 800K internal
drive + new Hyper ROMs are $389, giving $2889 for a new system
with a bigger capacity floppy. I don't know how you can expect
to get $3300, unless you are including about $500 worth of
software, on unless the machine is under AppleCare and
HyperCare.
