Some weeks ago I tried posting this article to mod.computers.pyramid and net.micro.mac. I was later told that cross posting to a moderated group and a net group may not work, so I dont think this made it to net.micro.mac. Since I did not get any replies from the pyramid group, I thought it was time I reposted - my apologies to those who see this twice - I did try... I am trying to track down the availability of the SUMacC Macintosh development system that runs on Unix, for the pyramid. I believe the system is mostly public domain, and available from Stanford, except for the compiler. Since it is based on Unix pcc, a source licence is required for that. Could anybody tell me what licence is required (68K or will VAX do?). I realise I could get the system directly from Stanford, but they apparently only distribute VAX versions. I will need a version of the compiler that will run on a Pyramid. Can anybody tell me if the Stanford distribution includes the source to the compiler, or do they only send out VAX binaries? Any other info about the success or otherwise, of running this system on Pyramids would be appreciated. I would prefer replies by e-mail to alberta!calgary!mcewan since I am logged on to this machine at Calgary via an x.25 packet switch connection from New Zealand - so I dont tend to spend a lot of time reading netnews. Thanks. Duncan McEwan Computer Science Department Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand.
