No further attempts to send to this address will be made. ---------------- The text of your failed mail message follows: I've been among those searching for a ramdisk that will work on the Mac Plus. I downloaded a patched version of RamStart V1.22 from GEnie the other night, but it doesn't work very well compared to what I have figured out myself. Let me spare you the trouble of downloading or patching it yourself. All that the patched V1.22 gets you is the ability to put RamStart and the system files in a folder. Otherwise it is very flakey, and it doesn't eject the floppy. I am running crash-free with the very old RamStart V1.0! If you put everything that you want copied to the Ramdisk on the disk window (not in a folder), RamStart will copy everything that is not in a folder to the Ramdisk at startup. The only drawback to this is that you have to keep the System, Finder, et al, in the top level of the disk. This seems to work just fine with the Mac Plus. Using V1.0 as the startup application creates the ramdisk, copies everything not in a folder, makes the ramdisk the startup disk, and ejects the floppy. I do hope that the developer gets a ROM upgrade and produces an HFS version of the program.
