I am getting an odd crash and would like to find out if anyone else has seen these symptoms: Often, but for no predictable reason, the Mac will freeze with a 3/4 inch vertical bar from top to bottom of the screen. It is not a solid bar, but appears to be a visual rendition of random memory (and in fact, I once could see most of an odd icon in it). This is usually accompanied by a buzzing noise from the speaker and, occasionaly, by a flickering and empty dialog box. The only way out is by the RESET switch, the INTERRUPT switch does nothing. I am running a 512K "normal" Mac with HD20, System 3.1.1, FInder 5.2, and the newer version (Dec) of the Hard Disk Startup file. (This occurs both in the finder and in applications). I'm running a very large system with most of the "goodies" distributed over the net (WatchCursor, AutoCursor, Reg Box, etc.) and lots of installed fonts. This is getting old; can anyone shed some light on it? Thanks, Jeff
