[net.micro.mac] INSIDE MAC: Promotional vs. Bookstore editions

moriarty@fluke.UUCP (Jeff Meyer) (04/24/86)

I have the old telephone book edition of Inside Mac, and am wondering just
how much difference there is between this and the brand-spankin'-new version
available at Fine Bookstores Everywhere. In particular, does the new
edition have anything on the Mac+ (especially the SCSI calls), or must that
be ordered seperately via a supplement? Thanks very much...

"And do you think (fop that I am) that I could be the
                 Scarlet Pumpernickel?"

No, the new version of Inside Mac has nothing about the Mac+ or the SCSI calls
or anything. It's just a corrected (?), revised version of the good ol'
phone book. The information about the Mac+ is supposed to be included in
one of the recent (12/85 or 3/86) supplements. I'm not sure which; I haven't
received mine yet.

Actually, I have not done justice to the new version with the brief comment
above. They have added several new sections that were not in the phone book,
and the format has been cleaned up considerably. There's nothing in there
about Mac+. Sorry if I was a bit misleasding.
