All of the arguement about the Turing test brings to mind an experiment that we in research had been running on netnews. While the TRB project <remember that?> was running in a development group, we decided to ressurrect our old prototype AI program, and allow it to run here on rabbit. While its computation load and storage requirements required that it be halted and removed a few weeks ago, it is interesting that, while the TRB project was identified as an AI project, ours was never identified, and was, in fact, accepted into the network as one of the premier flamers. I refer, of course, to the now defunct "rabbit!jj". We are sending out this notice due to the large buildup of undeliverable mail cluttering up our uucp directory. So--those of you who wondered why rabbit!jj wasn't answering, you have your answer. In the future, we will keep our experiments off the net. Morgon Ofhed <All mail spitefully rejected!>
