[Cross-posted to net.micro.mac and mod.computers.laser-printers] Does anyone know how the "3.0" LaserWriter Macintosh driver is better than the 2.0? I'm having trouble with MacDraw 1.7 and the latter. On a number of documents, the 2.0 (or rather, its LW-resident PostScript interpreter, aka LaserPrep) seems to hang or crash and then say "xxx is unable to print this document". I watch it carefully and no error message is apparent in the status window prior to the crash. The same document can be printed on the 3.0 just fine. Unfortunately, the driver and HD20 file take up too much disk on my pre-HFS Mac 512. If I knew what was different and why, I might understand a strategy for when to use which one. -- Joel West (619) 457-9681 CACI, Inc. Federal, 3344 N.
