I need a convenient interface between nroff usage in a standard UNIX environnment and macwrite. I would like to nroff -mm and tbl text on UNIX, then download the resulting files and be able to use them with macwrite much as if they had been entered on the mac in the first place. I use Versaterm for file transfers, but need help with formating. I would also like to reverse the process. The simplest case is a version of mm(1) which handled the tab setting/point size problem conveniently (ie, behaved logically like "mm -Tmac"). An alternative would be a version of troff or a device filter which treated the Mac as a special output device. Versions of nroff and troff which execute on the Mac would also be alternatives. I presume that others have already met and solved this problem. I would appreciate advice. Neal Scribner (Bell Labs, Holmdel) hou2e!nms
