To anyone who has, or is planning on upgrading to the double sided drives for the mac. BEWARE. If you still have any of the old single-sided Hewlett-Packard disks with the "pinch-lock" feature (ie. you can stick the disk door in the open position), copy their contents onto newer style disks. I found out the hard way that the new drives open the disk doors just far enough to have the door catch in the open position (the old SS drives did not). Unfortunately, then the drive CANNOT eject the disk, and the paper clip won't get it out either. Poor Mac just unmounts and mounts the volume every time you try to eject the disk. In short the only way to get the disk out again was to tear the drive apart (not a task for the squeamish) and stick implements of destruction inside to activate the pinch lock on the disk so its door would close (Fortunately happened on my external drive.).
