Greetings - I am using MacWrite 4.5 and have encountered something very strange. Two of my students have produced small documents (2 or 3 pages) that they couldn't edit because when the document was opened, MacWrite would sit there and flash the screen - leaving the Mac locked up and requiring a reboot to continue. Has anyone else seen this? Copying the document to another disk works just fine but the copied file exhibits the same behaviour. Prior to the problem, both students report that they had saved the document to their disks with everything seeming normal but when they tried to edit it the next day, the flashing behaviour began. Comments (particularly of a curative nature) will be most gratefully received. Please email replies - I will post a solution if any is produced. Thanks in advance... Cheers... We've seen that problem here a couple of times. The only solution we have is to read the file in using Microsoft Word. It gets read in fine, and you can then save it text only. -Gadi Friedman@topaz PS. Here at the microlab, we have at almost one student per day comming in with a blown Macwrite document problem. Many of these are fixed with MS word, however, sometimes FEDIT must be used.
