Well Scott Watson has been hard at work again and has produced another yet improved version of Red Ryder. At this point it is still undergoing some beta testing, as some problems have cropped up due to the rush of delivering the new version in time for the Chicago MacExpo last month. The version making the rounds right now is RR 9.2. This version will hit the streets around May 26th or so, depending on whether or not Scott releases another update and pushes that date into June. There are an abundance of new features in 9.2. It contains the graphics drivers that will eventually work in conjunction with Red Ryder Host BBS software. Also Scott has added many new procedure commands that make it even more powerful than before. To incorporate some of the new procedure commands others did have to change, so possibly some of your more complex procedures may require an update to correct the few commands that were either changed or removed. There is also a procedure Compressor that streamlines your procedures files for you. Not sure exactly how it works, but is supposed to improve Procedure file performance. I will post more details as I have info available to do so.... Norm Goodger Bridge Communications !bridge2!ngg
