Here's an update on the serach for this problem. For those of you who haven't received it, an article in the latest INFO-MAC digest indicated that the author had found that the WatchCursor utility (which, when installed, makes the hands on the "busy" watch cursor move) is the culpret, although he does not know why. I've removed it from my system (the distributed program contains a REMOVE button) and haven't had a similar crash yet, although my utilization is down right now. Some of you may want to try this too, and keep us informed if you get any more "vertical bar" crashes. Jeff

An update on the Vertical Bar crashes... It had appeared that the Moving Watch Cursor INIT resource was the culprit. However, I've had that out of my system for awhile, yet yesterday I *DID* get another classic vertical bar crash while in the finder. Hummmm... Has anyone considered if it might be the AutoCursor INIT resource? I only single that one out since the other issue leads toward cursor issues. Any additional ideas will be appreciated. Jeff
