I'm very new to modem communication... I bought a 1200 baud modem (Hayes compatible) and I'm using RR 8.0. I can get the modem to dial-out, the other modem answers, I have carrier, and NOTHING HAPPENS! I hit <cr> several times, but I don't get the Unix login or anything. After a few seconds I get disconnected. The modem RD (read data) lights up, but nothing shows up on my Mac. It's as if the Mac is talking to the modem, but the modem isn't talking to the Mac.
