I just got an Apple Personal Modem 1200/300 and have successfully used it, along with Red Ryder 6.2, to log on to my company's VAX 11/780 running Unix System V. I had no trouble using the Mac as a dumb terminal, but I couldn't transfer files between Mac and VAX. I tried both the ASCII and xmodem file transfer options in Red Ryder, but nothing happened. I haven't tried MacTerminal yet, so I don't know if my problem is with Red Ryder or my local UNIX machine. Can anyone offer me some assistance?
