I need help on the following things: 1: I would like to be able to preview macpaint or pict format documents on a SUN workstation. Assumming I can manage the differences in aspect ratio, I think all I need are the formats in which these files keep their data. I know I saw the formats explained somewhere, but I can't remember where. 2: I have access to a laserwriter attached to a SUN and I would like to move postscript files created on the MAC (command-f while printing) up to the SUN and then print them on the laserwriter. I can move the files fine, but the prolog part of the postscript file is missing. The MAC seems to spit this stuff out separately from the postscript created by the document. The "Laserwriter Prep" file has something to do with this and I hacked out what looked like postscript prolog, but its not all printable ascii ... Thanks in advance for any pointers on these problems. - Alan Greenspan (ima!alang)
