Having finally ordered my Hard Disk for my Mac+ (a Dataframe), it has occured to me that there are two programs which one really needs once one of these beasties is purchased: 1) A program for copying copy-protected software to the hard disk. Since the disk will be formatted for HFS, I assume I will have to use one of the "patch" copiers, i.e. the program alters each program (like FEdit) to defeat the copy protection. Usually there is one patch file for each program you want altered. Hard Disk Utils and MacZap 4.1 are the two programs that pop to mind about this. 2) Some kind of a backup program that backups up the hard disk onto floppies. The PD one on various boards hasn't impressed me a whole lot; the only other two I know of is Hard Disk Backup (by the Hard Disk Util people) and HFS Backup from the people who did MacBottom (I have seen this favorably reviewed in the MacInTouch newsletter). Does anyone have recommendations for either of these programs? "Would I turn on the gas if my pal Mugsy were in there? "You might, rabbit, you might!"
