MacTutor carried articles about MIDI programming in their October and November 
1985 issues. I looked back at April '85, but MacTutor was a fledgling then and
didn't have anything on MIDI that I can find.

I have written to many people recommending MacTutor, so with one more request
I figured it was time to go public. MacTutor is a programmer's Godsend.
