[net.micro.mac] Determining Data File's Program

ivancich@utah-cs.UUCP (Eric Ivancich) (06/17/86)

I have a data file from the Apple Tech Notes, and I don't know which program
it is intended for. I was wondering if anyone knows which program I should
used to look at the data. I've tried all of the obvious ones, MacWrite,
MacDraw, and MacPaint. It's Creator/Type 'words' are WDBN, WORD. A standard
MacWrite file has WORD, MACA. They both use 'WORD', but in different fields.
Anyone know?

Thanks in advance,

Eric

I think that is Microsoft word??? The new release notes from Apple on GEnie
for Finder 5.3/System 3.2 have the same ids.
