For all of you folks out there who have been hearing about Lightspeed C and TML Pascal and wondering how YOU can get in on the action, I humbly provide the following information. (This is not the complete list of development systems with reviews that I promised. This will have to hold you for a while; you'll find out more when I do.) Lightspeed C: An amazingly great package that also has a very good enviroment. (One testimonial claims it outperforms his UNIX enviroment.) I have heard nothing but great stuff about it. (The guy on the phone said they were coming out with another release, call for specifics) It's $175 from THINK Technologies, Inc. 420 Bedford Street, Suite 350, Lexington, MA 02173 or call (617) 863-1099. VISA/MC accepted. They can ship FedEx or UPS, if you want. TML Pascal: Lots of source codes are popping up everywhere. I've heard nothing bad about it. MacUser magazine liked it a lot. Probably your best bet (your only bet, as far as I know) if you want a Pascal compiler so you can follow "Macintosh Revealed" a little more easily. $104 (includes postage) from TML. MacConnection has it for $69, call them at 1-800-MAC-LISA. (I should be getting my copy in about two weeks.) Let me make my plea one more time: If you or someone you love has any pertinent info (adresses, reviews, prices, new releases) about development systems, please mail it to me, and maybe someday I will be able to post something more comprehensive.
