[net.micro.mac] Making icons in menus

wargo@sdics.UUCP (Dave Wargo) (06/25/86)

Would some kind person out there tell me how to make the correct icon#
for a given icon.

I have figured out that the icon from the finder is 256 off from what
the icon# says it is.

Now if I were to make a new icon the system numbers the new icon for
me with a number like "23806". Not even close to what I want.

So how do I change the icon# to be what I want it to be?

Thanks

Dave

I assume when you say 'the system', you mean RESEDIT, if so when you do the
NEW command and a weird number pops up, do a GET INFO, then in that screen you
can change it to anything you want!!!

hope this helps
