I am curious if there is any information available on what locations in parameter RAM the cache for the Mac+ uses, and what values are stored there. The reason for interest (besides curiosity!) is that it would be useful running a MacLab here at UC Davis; currently Mac+'s are booted from check-out floppies to create Ramdisks via RamStart. It would avoid a lot of hassles if we could add an INIT to the systems used on these floppies that did a MOVE.L #??,CacheRAM and set the size automatically. To my knowledge, t'would be easy *with* the information necessary. I'm still waiting for Apple to publish info on the cache as they promised... Many thanks in advance... -cbb (in wirklichkeit Johann Incognitus, aber ich habe nur vier Wochen bis meine Abfahrt nach Deutschland...) ---- Cute tip of the day: RamStart HFS will do its "eject the floppy since I copied the System and Finder onto it" only if it is in the root directory. ...!ucbvax!ucdavis!deneb!cccdave || ucdavis!deneb!cccdave@ucbvax.allnets
