I've heard rumors about two Macintosh product introductions, one of a slightly better machine sometime this fall, and the January introduction of a *much* better machine. Apple is also supposed to be showing the 65816-based //++++ to a few select folks, with intro sometime between now and January. Has anyone any good idea of whether these are over- lapping rumors? I.e., might the rumored fall Mac intro be the intro of the new // (Vega)? I realize Scully has made noises about more new products than ever before, so maybe all three *will* happen....
