> I have heard that LaserWriter toner cartridges can be recharged, would > someone be so kind as to give me some pointers as to what companies do this, See the August issue of Computer Shopper page 216, the "Ask the Guru" column has some info about toner cartrige refills and lists Laser Printer Products, Inc, 11 Freeman St. Stoughton, MA 02072, (617) 893-9000, as a source of raw materials. He (Don Lancaster) does the refilling himself.

> I have heard that LaserWriter toner cartridges can be recharged, would > someone be so kind as to give me some pointers as to what companies do this, > what the prices are and problems that have been encountered. > The only one I know of on the east coast (I think there's only 2 around in the US) is: Laser Printer Products 11 Freeman St. Stoughton, Ma 02072 (617) 893-9000 (24 Hr answering service) (617) 341-3005 (9-5 Eastern time) A toner Cartridge recharge is $40, or $50 if you have no trade-in cartridge. You can buy instructions and toner for 2 recharges for $99, and you can buy toner only for $20. We've had a cartridge recharged, and they guarantee them 100%, or they will replace or refund the purchase price, but we have yet to see what the quality is like, since our second cartridge is still cranking away.
