I may have missed this, but, has anyone come up with a description of how MacDraw files encode their objects? I would like to be able to pull out x/y coordinates of objects, specifically, the points that comprise a free-form line. Being able to extract the coordinates of other objects would be necessary as well. All help gratefully acknowledged! { seismo!caip!uw-beaver ..OR.. ihnp4!sun!fluke } !tikal!phred!jeffp {Jeff Parke}

I have seen a number of requests for and no answers on how MacDraw stores its files. (the Macpaint format is a simple binary encoding with repeat groups; It has been described here several times, and is in IM and Mac Revealed) From the descriptions I have seen of these files, it occurs to me that the files are probably a list of calls to QuickDraw, and thus probably non-trivial to convert back into graphics Are there any gurus out there who can confirm or debunk this?
