Does anyone in netland know what words which begin with the letters "qu"
and are not pronounced with the familiar "kw" sound?

Well, there are three relatively common words that start with "qu" but
not with the "kw" sound, and a few other more obscure ones. Here they are:
	quay
	queue
	quich
and
	Quebec (probably more common than quay, but depending on where you
are, it might be "k" or "kw")
	quetzal (a bird)
	quiniela (a system of betting)
	quinoa (a weed)
	quipu (an ancient Peruvian calculating device)
	qui vive (challeng; lookout)
	quoin (solid exterior angle. also pronounce "kw" sometimes)

(Well, I never claimed that you would have heard of most of them, and, well,
OK, I'll admit I had to resort to my handy Webster's for some of them.)
