[net.micro.mac] A Quiz

Suppose there exists a drop-in bunch of code that one includes
in one's application to provide text editing windows. It does
this in such a way that the host need know very litte about what
the window is doing, i.e., it handles key and mouse clicks by
itself so that text may be entered and selected without host
intervention, scrolls, resizes, etc. The host can pass Edit
menu selections to it and it does the edit operation. That
kind of stuff.

The question: what kinds of events for that window does the
host *really* want to know about, *and why*? For instance,
presumably the host wants to be notified of activate events,
so that menu items may be enabled or disabled properly
according to which window is in front.

What else?
