Hello everybody,
I just found a major bug in RR 9.4 and some minor ones, thought I
would let everybody know about them.
1) MAJOR - (This worked in RR 7.0) - If you go into terminal preferences
and set the port to be used to printer and connect your modem to printer
port, the program does not send or recieve from the modem! This leads to
the other (minor) problem...
2) MINOR - When setting like above, Scott DOES disable Print text file and
some other printer functions, BUT does NOT disable 'Printer Preferences' or
the print screen icon on the main screen. In the above configuration, if you
select 'Printer preferences' and do a 'send form feed' or 'send linefeed', you
see the data going to the modem (I have a Hayes, so I can see the lights); or
if you select the Print screen icon and say yes, send it, you see the modem
lights come on for a bit.
Anyone else seen these problems???
I am using this configuration to allow both my printer and modem to be connected
to the Mac
using the printer port and an A/B switch (from Kette group) and connect my
Amiga to the Modem port. I have a virtual port program that allows the Amiga
to see the printer on the Mac (yes, in text and graphics modes!) as well as
the modem now, but RR 9.4 has the above problem...HELP!
