vaughan@orion.UUCP (Robert Vaughan) (09/26/86)
I am a newcomer to the network mailing lists, and have seen quite a few postings about Macintosh C compilers (everything from Consulair to Lightspeed). I would appreciate it if someone out there could mail me a list of the existing C compilers/ development systems for the Mac. Any experience with them would also be helpful, including past articles I have missed (note: some mailing lists are sooo big, you almost need to create sub lists, i.e info-mac.lang.c, info.mac.lang.pascal, info-mac.das (desk accessories), etc. and so on and on and on and on...) The current C compiler I have been using is Megamax C, version 2.01 or so. This compiler has so many bugs, I feel itchy every time I fire it up... Any comments about newer version from Megamax would be welcome. I have been following the C and HFS discussions with interest, since this version of the Megamax system doesn't even *run* on the new Mac file system, much less allow you to produce running code for it... mail to: ...!hplabs!sdcrdcf!trwrb!orion!vaughan (methinks...) merci (mercy mercy!)
