[net.micro.mac] jerky screen animation with SCSI disk

dlc@lanl.ARPA (Dale Carstensen) (10/12/86)

I was wrong in my suggestion that the jerky timing might have been due to a
Vertical Blanking Interrupt queue entry. The SCSI Bernoulli Box drive has
such an entry only because it has to detect cartridge insertion. Any non-
removable drives would probably not have VB entries. However, the Delphi
suggestion that a dNeedTime entry in the driver control table was set at
boot time to catch the existence of the drive after the boot is completed,
but never cleared after the catch, may explain the behaviour.
