[net.micro.mac] Bless Supermac

moriarty@fluke.UUCP (Jeff Meyer) (10/13/86)

Well, not that, maybe, but I got my disk in the mail today with 1)
SuperSpool 3.1 (a higher rev than the one posted on the net), their backup
utility SuperBackup, the disk parker SuperParker (see a pattern here?), the
new initializer, some documentation, and the Updater program 1.5. The
spooler, which I have used an earlier version of, is terrific -- it does
cause things to slow down on the Mac, but I printed out an 150 page Word
mail merge job and three Fullpaint pictures and was EXTREMELY pleased. The
backup program seems nice -- it has almost as many options as HFS Backup
(and one additional one called the File Filter which eliminates certain
files from being backed up -- nice not to have to click off on the Desktop
all the time), and while not being as pretty as HFS Backup, it seems about
equivalent (and, of course, is free with your Dataframe).

It may have taken them a while to get it out, but what they HAVE given me --
a very reliable hard drive and handy software -- is what I wanted all the
time.

DISCLAIMER: I have no relations to SuperMac other than being a satisfied
	     customer.

anything to avoid,' he said. `I'm staying home.'"
