We would like to be able to use Xmodem protocol on our HP9000 running system V. I recently downloaded software from the net for the macintosh that claims that it will transfer files via xmodem, operating in the background. I would love to be able to transfer files while still working on my mac locally. If you know were we can get xmodem file tranfer software that can be easily ported to our HP9000 systemV, please let me know, or post the source. Thanx in advance. Eric De Vos University of Chicago

All of our HP-UX systems have umodem (same as xmodem, I don't know why we use the name umodem). I have used umodem to transfer files to/from my Mac using VersaTerm, however I prefer using kermit.
