[ This line to appease the Great Line-Eater if he still lives ] Has anyone heard of a program for the Mac which allows you to do state diagrams/analysis and hopefully, simulation? I have seen a program called "LogicWorks" but it looked rather limited (very small 7400 library and could only simulate simple, unclocked state tables). What I am looking for is more of a "MacProject" of logic design in which one could graphically describe a state diagram, moving around states at will. I would then like to be able to specify the inputs to the state machine for each clock period and, given an input clock and (programmable) propagation delays, simulate the outputs. It would be nice (but not vital) if I could also attach a few discrete components (ala LogicWorks, hopefully with a more complete library) to the inputs and outputs of the state machine to simulate a complete small circuit. I have heard of a few such programs for the IBM PC and, given the graphics capabilities of the Mac, am surprised that I have been unable to find a similar version for the Mac. Please note that I am *not* looking for a high-powered, all purpose logic simulator (i.e Mainframe) but rather a quick and easy method for simulating small portions of a circuit with logic devices (PLA, PAL, etc. registered and/or unregistered). By the way, I have taken a look at the DigSim program that came across the net a couple of monthes ago. Although it is a fun little program, it is even more limited than LogicWorks, has no 7400 library (unless one spends a great deal of time building it himself), no ability to alter prop delays or handle glitches of under 10 ns and is not set up to handle state tables directly. (No insult to the author. For a $15 Shareware program, it's pretty good--just not for my puposes). I'd appreciate any suggestions/information anyone could provide.
