[net.micro.mac] TRS-100/102 <-> macintosh

oster@lapis.berkeley.edu (David Phillip Oster;;;;JE52) (10/26/86)

I've written a C program for the Mac to manage moving text files back and
forth to a Radio Shack 100/102's xxx.DO files. The most intersting thing
it does is map character sets, so an "a" with an accent looks the same on
both displays. Now the 100's tercom program insists on inserting on being
told a line length between 1 and 132, and insists on inserting extra carriage
returns in order to break text to the line length. I have the model 100's
tech manual that lists a few of the machine language entrypoints and gives
a little of the directory structure.
What I would really like to do is have the mac download a short basic
program, which when run, recieves a short machine language program, which
when run, slaves the 100 to the mac. You'd be able to see the 100's
directory on either machine, select files with either the 100's keyboard
or the mouse, and back up the 100 to the mac in a single keystroke. I'd
also like to bidirectionally convert xxx.DO files to Mac text files
(except for the carriage return problem, this works now) convert 100's
word processing files to macwrite files, outline editor files to the
appropriate mac outline editor, and database files to the appropriate mac
database. I need information about the 100's memory map, about executable
file format, about word processor file format, database file format, and
outline editor file format. Can anybody help me out?
