[net.micro.mac] FlushVol question

dubois@uwmacc.UUCP (Antineophilus) (10/27/86)

IM says that FlushVol should be called after a file is closed to ensure
that the disk is sync'ed to the logical i/o state. I can understand that
this would be true when the file was open for writing. Is FlushVol also
recommended if the file was open for reading only?

If so, why?
