I need some information on how to write a DA or other program that can scan through the CURRENTLY OPEN file while STILL INSIDE MacWrite. The program would be similar in function to the typical spelling checker. You would call it up from the MacWrite "spell" menu and it would scan through the file you currently had open, stopping on certain words and highlighting them. I know enough about the MacWrite file format to write this kind of program as a stand alone...but for it to be useful the program has to be runable from INSIDE MacWrite, just like a spelling checker. Does anybody know how to write this kind of a program? Or even how to get a program to install itself in the "spell" menu of MacWrite? I assume you have to give the file a special resource type or something so MacWrite will know where to find it.
