Serendipitously, this whole discussion brought to my mind a story about wills. Seems that a man rolled his car on a lonely road and was trapped and bleeding to death. He wrote his will with his own blood on the car door before he died. A court judged it to be a legal will, and had it used. Pretty gross, but interesting nonetheless... Precisely what is a legal document is a very shifty question, I think...

I read about the guy who died in his car in a "Stranger Than True" type book. He wrote ALL TO MOM in blood on the windshield. A will, like his, is valid as long as it is completely written in your own handwriting. For those of you who know me, I VERY recently had to think about a quick will. Now I can be more relaxed about it.
