Help! I have an unsupported product from Apple called MacWorkStation which provides access to the Mac interface from a host-based application running under UNIX (4.2 in my case). The menu bars and window management and dialog box stuff all works great, but the problem is that there is no code to support a "pick" function for graphic objects or icons. The stubs are in the code, but they are just comments... Has anyone written anything that causes a cursor hit event to be sent to a host, returning what was hit (window id, object id, object type, (x,y) location, or anything like that)? I also need the capability to enlarge graphic objects a la MacDraw, but this also requires the "pick" function. If anyone has any good ideas on how to implement this stuff, or if anybody has MacWorkStation, please let me know. thanks -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Dudley Cognos Incorporated 3755 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA K1G 3N3 decvax!utzoo!dciem!nrcaer!cognos!timd --------------------------------------------------------------------------
